The Cascade Lakes Highway, which is State Highway 46, is a loop and an official U.S. Forest Service National Scenic Byway. This highway is open from June through October. Boaters and water-sports enthusiasts can enjoy sailing, canoeing, and windsurfing on nearby Davis, Odell, and Crescent Lakes. During the winter, you'll find a large variety of options near Big Pines RV Park. For downhill and cross-country skiing, Willamette Pass on Highway 58 has nearly two dozen alpine trails. The Walt Haring Sno-Park (located one half mile North of Chemult) offers cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and annual sled dog races. Our snow-season opens around Thanksgiving and continues through April each year.
If your passion is golf, the Quail Run Golf Course is located about twenty-five minutes north of Big Pines RV Park and has 18 regulation holes, a Driving Range, and takes reservations up to six months in advance. You'll find superb scenery along the Cascade Lakes Highway, an official U.S. Forest Service National Scenic Byway loop (open from June through October). And within an hour's drive are incredible attractions like Crater Lake National Park, Newberry National Volcanic Monument, and the High Desert Museum. activities4
